DOUBLE FRAMING TECHNIQUEHello again, as I promised last week, we are going to learn a great double framing technique, to make otherwise insignificant art become impressive. With this method you can use a variety of sizes of frames, but for the sake of this article we will use a 10 x 13 and a 5 x 7. First, pick either two matching or coordinating frames. Take your large frame apart and cover the cardboard in a fabric that will coordinate with the area where the art will be placed. You can do this as simply as wrapping the fabric around the cardboard and taping it on the back side.(remember re-cycle when ever you can) Now remove the glass. This frame will be more attractive without glass. Put the frame back together and prepare the 5 x 7 frame with the art you plan to display. Now, simply hot glue the 5 x 7 frame to the center of the larger frame. This project is complete and ready to hang. This was another one of those "TOO SIMPLE" projects. This week I would like to give you a couple of important little household hints. Afterall what is crafting and decorating without maintenance. 1. To remove the most severe stains from carpet use "Hydrogen piroxide". 2. To clean mini blinds, hang them inside the shower, spray them thouroughly with "foam bathroom cleaner" let them set a couple of minutes and rinse them off. You will also discover this cleaner to be the best household cleaner, for all other purposes, on the market today. I hope you enjoy your newly framed art. Be sure to be back next week to learn what to do with old silverware or stainless steel flatware. "Til next week - Terri Landrum
