* Keeping it in sight - Several bulletin, magnetic, and chalkboards do the trick in my office, so I can keep notes, reminders, and other important information on my walls so they're in my sight at all times.

* Storing supplies - Since I never seem to have enough storage area for my things, I purchased a large, secondhand armoire for storing more of my office supplies. Decorative baskets and boxes house the rest of it in style, so my office looks more like a room in my house than a cookie-cutter "office".

My advice to you is simple: Decorate your home office with as much care and love as you would any other room in your house! Plan for efficiency first, then search for ways to inject your personality into this very important room.
