Casualty of War

trying to put together a jigsaw, when you haven't seen the picture you're trying to make up. You only have to look at the screens of the satellite TV channels - whether BBC, CNN, Sky News or Fox. It's information overload. Two, three, four talking heads, all throwing questions and opinions at one another. At least one rolling caption, usually two and sometimes three, dispensing more information. Maps. Graphics. It's all too much. Perhaps the olden days - when it took days or even weeks for reports to be filed - were not so bad after all. At least we understood what was going on.
