Black Books (reportedly hysterical comedy from Graham Lineham - the man beyond
Father Ted, Big Train and Hippies. Set in a used bookstore Black Books stars Dylan Moran
(Notting Hill) and Bill Bailey (Saving Grace)
Also receiving awards were Big Brother (Best Innovation), The
Naked Chef (Best Feature), John Thaw (The Academy Fellowship)
and Lynda LaPlante (The Dennis Potter Award).
DVD Wishlist
Time to update those DVD Wishlists. This week I'll look at the comedy and crime lists and
then cover the Drama, SciFi/Fantasy and miscellaneous next time
British Comedy DVD Wishlist
1. Fawlty Towers
Coming soon! This fall a 3 Disc Set (individual discs will also be
available) of Fawlty Towers will be released featuring new and archival interviews, cast
and cameo guides and an audio commentary!. Very good news indeed.

Have I Got News For You: I'd hesitated putting this on the list since
it's such a topical show. However the more I thought about it, and the more I watched my
collection of years old episodes, the more it dawned on me that funny is funny. Monty
Python's chock full of topical humor that even some Brits don't get today - shows like Mastermind,
Changing Room, Ground Force, Eastenders all make frequent references to people,
places and things that the average American know nowt about yet the shows don't suffer for
it. If anything these references add to the charm of the programs, making them unique and
interesting.
Have I Got News For You is a hilarious panel show that feature two pairs of celebrities
