Brit-Mystery Showdown Round One - Poirot vs.Campion and more...


on the small or big screen arguably the second greatest fictional detective of all time (behind the immortal Sherlock Holmes of course) is David Sucet. David Sucet is Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie's greatest creation and a real challenge for any actor to tackle.

As much as Sucet looks and acts the part it is his voice, the accent, the infections, the overall delivery, that bring his portrayal to the utmost level of believability. Now, I actually have no idea whether or not his accent is authentically Belgian but, given the quality of Sucet's work I wouldn't be at all surprised.
