Dear readers,
Since it's a New Year, I've decided to offer a few changes to the format of this page. For starters, I've decided to change the topic title--as you can see--from "20th Century British History and Politics" to just "Modern British History." The old title was faulty for a number of reasons; I am not and have not done modern British politics as I once thought I would do, and the twentieth century, although certainly interesting, is a bit inhibiting for me. Modern British history, as opposed to 20th Century British History, works much better as it encompasses the period from 1832 to the present, and offers a great number of interesting topics for us to explore. As a full-time graduate student in history, my time is rather sparce. In order to serve you better, articles will heretoforth be appearing on a by-monthly basis. Feel free, however, to write e-mail and to post on the page's discussions. I look forward to any and all comments, helpful suggestions and hints, and the occasional correction or two. No matter how knowledgeable and learned one becomes, I firmly believe that each and every one of us always has something to learn from another. Keep the learning coming!! I want to end by thanking all those who have thought to visit my page weekly since my first article some eight months ago. It's hard to believe, that already 30+ articles have been written. Once again thanks!! Joe Sramek :-) Go To Page: 1
