Everything surrounding massage therapy- a soothing environment, human touch which is essential to life, a caring therapist, the comfort of prolonged attention, relaxed muscles- combine to make massage one of the most supportive and helpful complementary therapies available. Like other complementary therapies, accupressure and massage therapy may be used in relieving certain symptoms of cancer and side effects of cancer treatment. But they should not be expected to slow or reverse growth or spread of cancer.
