Hello everyone and welcome to the new home for Books You May Have Missed. This topic is now a part of the Suite University Community, and will have a new purpose - besides letting you know about those great books that you may have missed.

I will also be highlighting Suite University courses that you might be interested to help you find and enjoy wonderful books. I will also continue with book reviews from time to time, and I welcome guest articles, too.

So, if you have a favorite book that you'd like to share, drop me a note and we can talk about a guest article. To provide you with more ideas, this topic will also continue to be linked to the Great Books topic. Both have a wealth of archived articles on some really wonderful books.

Feel free to browse around this community and learn about some of the wonderful Suite University courses that we offer. Give one a try - I know you'll be happy you did.

And speaking of SuiteU - here is one of my favorites - and one of the first courses offered at Suite U: The Joy of Reading: http://www.suite101.com/course.cfm/16714... by Nichel Anderson. In the course description, Nichel says, "The Joy of Reading will take you on a journey to enlightenment. Geared for book lovers, the course will discuss all genres of writing: fiction, non-fiction, short stories, poetry, and essays. You will learn new comprehension and retention techniques, speed-reading, and effective ways to build your vocabulary.

You will also learn how to start and organize a book club; develop a book-club newsletter; make money by reviewing books for publishers; and promote your club and reviews online."

Here's a little about Nichel, the instructor for this course: "Nichel Anderson is a freelance writer with an enriched perspective on quality literature. Nichel is currently the Reading and Literature Community Manager at Suite101.com providing up to date news of the literary world, author links, best seller lists, and always generating positive discussions in the forum to prompt visitor's participation. Nichel is also a contributing editor for the Harlem Renaissance topic at the Suite."

This course is available as a quick course any time. An interactive course is going on now - but look for the next session if you want to chat with Nichel about your favorite books.

Happy Reading!
