and Press Gang have been around since the seventies.

- Beloved Disciple Press - publishes works for gay and lesbian Christians.
- BlackWattle Press - literary publisher.
- Elysium Press - focuses on gay 19th century authors.
- GLB Publishers - erotica.
- GLINN Publishing Corporation
- HerBooks Publishing - radical feminist press.
- Naiad Press, Inc. - lesbian fiction and nonfiction.
- Open Prairie Syndicate - cartoonists.
- Press Gang Publishers - women's publisher.
- Stonewall Inn - fiction, nonfiction, mysteries, erotic photography, and humor.
Cynical Dog offers reviews on lesbian books and it is a comprehensive site, with separate sections for mysteries, other fiction and a variety of nonfiction topics. Between the Sheets also has reviews of gay and lesbian books.
