...that hasn't been said already and said better on the Internet?
About the only thing I can say that hasn't been said elsewhere is that one lovely summer evening, I was at the Heaven and Art Cafe on Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg having a coffee when I saw this couple walking along the avenue together. I noticed them because they were seemed to be enjoying each other's company so much. (I'm a romantic at heart and believe that I can spot a couple in love at fifty paces.) The couple came into the cafe and sat down at a table very near mine and they were chatting like a a pair of new lovers. When I was leaving, I passed by the table and saw their faces. And that's when I realized that it was Carol Shields and Don Shields, her husband of forty years.
