Session Six: Right after addressing the hip flexors the sixth session now focuses on the buttock muscles which are one of the largest muscles in the physiology. Any strains and injuries here are reflected in uneven or interrupted gait. The Rolfer works on the deepest buttock muscles namely, the 'rotators' - opening them up - this automatically effects a change in the gait.

This session is the last step in restoring complete balance to the entire pelvic girdle and brings to a near end the Rolfer's focus on creating a centrally poised vertical line of symmetry in the body.
