Now that everybody is offering high-quality ingredients, it's hard for Met-Rx to keep the lead. It's kind of like being the gifted kid in a class of other gifted kids - even though you're smart, you're just one of the crowd. Met-Rx has the same problem, though they're trying to regain ground with new products, but the original Met-Rx is still a staple among many bodybuilders.
Truth is, like I said, that there's better options out there, in spite of Met-Rx still being a good product. 37 grams of protein was good a couple of years ago, but now they're way surpassed by competitors with 42, 45, and even 52 grams of protein, oftentimes for the same price. Judgment (1=Worst, 10=Best) Nextra Protein Crunch Well... the experience is strange. If you imagine dog-kiblets made of soy protein with a really strong, fake BBQ flavor, you're pretty close. And that's pretty much where it ends. Dog food. Nutrition-wise, I'm sure it's a great snack, but I'm not giving up my protein bars quite yet.
