Products for Plus Size People

Do you find it more and more difficult to find basic products that are suitable for a person your size? Many of us face this issue. This month we will look at some places you can find products for your size.

Exercise Equipment

You have decided to exercise to be more fit, but when you check out the equipment for sale you discover some of it is only built to handle people up to 210 pounds. Others are not suitable for someone who is quite heavy. Some to try are :< BR>

NordicTrak WalkFit 5000. It has 6 inclinations, no motor, and folds down. Approximate price $800.

Cardio-Glide is no impact, gentle full-body workout, and has adjustable resistance.
Aerobic Rider doesn't have a piston like the Cardio-Glide. Some users have suggested that the piston gives out a little quicker for heavy people, although others at over 350 pounds have not had this problem.

Elliptical Crosstrainer - is a no-impact aerobic device that's sort of like a cross between a ski machine, a Stairmaster, and a bicycle (without a seat). Has worked for some over 300 pounds.
ProForm CrossWalk - has been recommended by some people over 350 pounds.

Scales

As your weight goes up, you find it is more and more difficult to weigh yourself. Many home scales top out at 270 to 300 pounds. Even the scales at the doctor's office usually won't accurately weigh over 350 pounds. There are places where you can get a scale that weighs over 350.

High capacity scales, sometimes called bariatric scales, have been available only from medical equipment supply companies at a very high price. Even though there are some being made, they are not being carried in most retail stores.

Online at http://www.scale-it.com/ you can find fifty different personal and professional high capacity scales rated at capacities of 350 pounds, many of them going much higher. They have a wide selection of good, basic quality home scales as well as high end, high feature models for professional clinical applications. What ever type of scale you are looking for can be found at Scale It.

They carry mechanical scales, electronic scales, and balance beam scales with prices starting at #39.95 and going up.

Toilet Seat

The Big John Toilet Seat is rated at over 1200 pounds. It is larger than the standard toilet seat, made of a durable, high-grade anti-microbial plastic that is both stain and chemical resistant. The hinges are stronger, the stabilizing 'rubber bumpers' keep the seat from shifting. It will fit either a Round or Elongated toilet bowl. It sits taller than a standard toilet seat and has a contoured sitting surface that is roomier than any other toilet seat on the market.
