to refer to Einar's late son. It doesn't. What it does refer to far transcends that. The performance by Jennifer Lopez, though undeniably weak overall simply because of her lack of experience in this venue, goes to demonstrate the potential she has as an actor, and why she could easily become one full-time if she were so inclined. "An Unfinished Life" was directed by Lasse Hallstrom, who previously directed equally interesting, albeit disturbing, films and movies such as "The Cider House Rules" and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape". The screenplay is credited to Mark and Virginia Korus Spagg. The result, though modest and often understated, is touching and heartfelt. And, admittedly, an acquired taste. I won't be surprised if "An Unfinished Life" gains a cult following.
