Rarely, if ever, has this ability proven incorrect for me.
Such an ability, it would seem, should serve me well. It has and it hasn't. It has, in the sense that I can look at something and determine, in that fleeting moment, its likely fate and destiny, effectively saving me time, effort, and energy in pursuing it further. It hasn't, in the sense that when people come to learn of this ability of mine instead of embracing me for such uniqueness they effectively ostracize me, considering me akin to a leaper: That is, one who should be avoided at all costs.
Consequently, I find my life in certain areas and aspects void and lacking of companionship and relationship.
Now how is it I have this knack? Is it mystical or somehow metaphysical? Perhaps it is evidence of the ever elusive sixth sense certain false gods and fake prophets claim that allows them to devine future truth for those lacking this ability? I suggest and believe it is none of these things. I suggest and believe it is merely a natural evolution, development and maturation of common sense, framed by sound morals and ethics, grounded in well-developed standards and principles, focused in such a way that clarity regarding probable conclusions is certain and without exception.
I know what you are thinking: If you have the ability to look into the future, basically, why don't you use it to prevent such events as those that transpired on 9/11? Or, better yet, why don't you use your ability to pick the numbers in the Powerball Lottery, win the lottery, invest your winnings, and make the world a better place for all?
Simply, it doesn't work that way, and I suppose because it doesn't that goes to explain, in part, why some people ban me from their lives: If I can't give them what they want I am of no use to them.
To which I could reply, philosophically: Perhaps the reason I can't give you what you want is because you don't actually know what it is you want.
