Now, without giving away too much, a word or two about this particular story: There is a little clown fish named Nemo (but of course; how better to explain the title?), who has an undersized fin and an oversized sense of curiosity. He lives with his father, after his mother and all of her other eggs were devoured by Barracudas. The story basically begins when little Nemo goes off for his first day of school (school of fish, get it?). Before he goes his father warns him to stay close to the class and avoid the certain dangers of the deep water. Of course little Nemo almost immediately forgets these dire warnings and ends up captive in a salt-water tank, belonging to a dentist in Sydney, Australia. Nemo's father, Marlin (another quick joke, get it as well?), learns of Nemo's capture and swims off to rescue his boy, aided by a blue tang with big, big eyes named Dory, whom he encounters on his way to save the little one.

And thus is the story of Nemo, and finding him.

Simple, this story. Yet there is decidedly more to it than just a fish or two and a good story. Watch closely and find, quickly, yourself drawn in the wonderous colors, the impressive movements of the animation, and the forms drawn from same. Wonderful.

A few words about the actors who play the various sea creatures. I won't tell you their names--better you pay close attention when you can, and find out for yourself. All I will say is that the casting is almost perfect, and once you realize who is who, and you recognize them from other performances you find their work here is enhanced by those roles, bringing a level and depth to this work unmatched.

This summer movie season there will be about one hundred thirty films and movies theatrically released. A number that is certainly overwhelming, and if you decide to see just one, well, the choice is without debate.
