Chapter 2: Yoga of Knowledge - Verse 64 & 65

One can control the senses with the aid from the divine.
Verse 64:

"raga-dvesa-vimuktais tu visayan indriyais caran atma-vasyair vidheyatma prasadam adhigacchati"

(64) One who can control his senses by practicing the regulated principles of freedom can obtain the mercy of the Lord and thus become free from all attachment and aversion
Explanation: The Krishna conscious person is concerned only with the satisfaction of Krishna, and nothing else. Therefore he is transcendental to all attachment.
He is free from all attachments and aversions.

Verse 65:

"prasade sarva-duhkhanam hanir asyopajayate prasanna-cetaso hy asu buddhih paryavatisthate"

(65) One who is so situated in the Divine consciousness, experiences no miseries of material existence. One attains a happy state, one's intelligence soon becomes steady
Explanation: When one attains Divine consciousness miseries of life do not torment him. He experiences a state of Bliss. A perfect state free from sorrow and happiness, good and even. Just pure perfect bliss.
The quest to conquer the senses and free oneself from the bondage of material world should be accompanied with renouncing everything at the feet of Lord Krishna.

When once you do not crave for success, you wont weep on failure as you'll attribute both to Krishna.
