The army of the Pandavas is in focus here. Sanjaya describes to the blind father of the Kauravas - Dhrtarastra, about the Pandavas army.
Verse 17:
"kasyas ca paramesv-asah
sikhandi ca maha-rathah
dhrstadyumno viratas ca
satyakis caparajitah"
(17)And the king of Kasi, the valiant bowman, Sikandi the mighty warrior, Dhrtadyumna and Virata; and Satyaki the invincible.
Explanation: Sanjaya informs the blind king Dhrtarastra about the warriors on the side of Pandavas ready to fight his sons, the Kauravas.
The king of Kasi was wielding a great bow, Sikandi was a great Charioteer. There were the great Dhrtadyumna and Virata. Satyaki the unconquered was ready to fight the Kaurava brothers and their large army.
Verse 18:
"drupado draupadeyas ca
sarvasah prthivi-pate
saubhadras ca maha-bahuh
sankhan dadhmuh prthak prthak"
(18)Drupa and the sons of Draupadi, and the strong armed sons of Subhadra - all of them, O King! blew their conchs.
Explanation: Sanjaya informs the blind king that all the sons of Draupadi, along with the king Drupa were ready for the battle.
Abhimanyu, the son of Subhadra who had great powers in his arms blew his conch along with the other warriors.
Verse 19:
"sa ghoso dhartarastranam
hrdayani vyadarayat
nabhas ca prthivim caiva
tumulo bhyanunadayan"
(19)And that tumultuous uproar, resounding through heaven and earth, pierced the hearts of Dhrtarastra and his associates.
Explanation: The sounds of the conchs that the warriors in the Pandava army made filled up the sky and the earth with echoes.
The noise was so loud that Kauravas were filled with fear.
The Pandavas who had the Supreme Lord Krishna on their side knew no fear.
In the preceding verses Sanjaya briefs the blind king Dhrtarastra about the kings of both the Kaurava and the Pandava armies standing face to face in the battle field of Kurukshetra.
