One Year AnniversaryMy treasure this last week was the memory of how much happiness Steve brought into our lives. The joy of walking through a stand of quaking aspen on a crisp fall afternoon will forever be burned in my heart. The laughter brought on by a silly joke that could only be told by Steve in his quick, dry wit can never be replaced by another. The look he would give his wife as she did something special for him will always remind me of the love he held for her. The way he spoke with his children when he was not aware anyone was listening or watching showed his undying love for them. These are just a few of the buried treasures that have surfaced this week. If I spent more time thinking about him, the treasures would be endless. At this exact moment, I cannot think of one bad thing about this dear friend. I know he wasn't perfect - no one is. But in complete honesty, I truly believe he is now. Strange, huh?
