If you love the ritual of spring cleaning (and many people do), then just go for it. But if annual spring cleaning doesn't seem a comfortable fit to you, then take a few minutes and think before you work yourself into a cleaning tizzy. Maybe you should be following a monthly approach to your cleaning schedule, and instead of having a bunch of job delegated to springtime, spread them out through the year.

Or you may even want to go a step further, and incorporate into your daily life one essential cleaning rule:

When it's dirty, clean it. And if it ain't dirty, don't clean it.
