An American Tragedy

This week the United States was attacked by terrorists who left several thousand people dead. This week, instead of a column about beekeeping, I think it is important that we remember those who have been so violently taken from us and remember the leaders of our country as they take action to rid the world of the threat of terrorism.

For those of you who knew someone killed, missing or injured in either of the cities that were attacked, my prayers are with you, as are the prayers of every American. We know that in this time of tragedy, there are needs that must be met for those who are left behind. I would urge each of you reach out to those in need by contacting your local chapter of the American Red Cross or other charitable agency, and do whatever you can to help those who are in need.

Next week, I'll be back with a new beekeeping article, but for now, I would ask that you fly your flag and pray that the unity of our nation will continue and that we will be victorious in our struggle against those individuals and governments who demonstrate such a callous disregard for life.
