Here are the answers to last week's "Trivia Questions" about Bees. Find out if you qualified for the "Bees Knees" Award.

1. How many species of bees are there? Believe it or not, there are over 20,000 species of bees world wide.

2. Bees live on every continent except? There are bees on every continent except Antartica. The temperature extremes there are so bad that even though they are cold blooded, they can not survive.

3. How many legs does a bee have? Just like all insects, bees have 6 legs.

4. Bees are colorblind? True or False. False. They can see all colors that humans can except red and they can see ultraviolet as well.

5. Do bees have a sense of taste? Yes, they have a very sophisticate sense of taste that can discriminate between sweet, bitter, salty and sour.

6. How many eggs does the Queen lay in a day? The Queen can lay up to 2000 individual eggs in individual cells within the hive. She's one busy lady when it's time to lay eggs.

7. Do bees have ears? No, but they sense vibration through their legs, so they are able to detect sound in this way.

8. How many eyes does a bee have? Bees have 3 single eyes on the top of their heads and two large compound eyes. So the answer is a total of 5 eyes.

9. Bees use their ______________ to sip nectar from the flower. Proboscus. This organ is a combination of a nose and tongue and is inserted deep into the flower to extract the nectar.

10. Royal Jelly is also known as _____________? Royal Jelly is also known as Bees Milk.
