Madewood Plantation House

A fine example of Greek Revival architecture, Madewood Plantation, circa 1846, is a National Historic Landmark and was once part of a working sugar cane plantation.

Whether you stay in the main house that offers five elegantly appointed rooms or you choose to stay in the Charlet House, the restored riverboat captain's house, circa early 19th century and offers two suites or a very private and romantic room with fireplace, you accommodations will be exceptional.

A stay at Madewood includes a wine and cheese get together, dinner by candlelight which includes a menu filled with Louisiana favorites, and coffee and brandy served after dinner.

Next morning be prepared for a full plantation styled breakfast followed by a complimentary tour of this beautiful mansion.

Only 75-miles from New Orleans, you're close enough to drive into the city and soak up the history of the infamous French Quarter.
