We've had a lot of fun over the past couple of years checking out all things to do with beans all over the Web and helping you find what you need. In the process, we've also written some bean articles and found and brought you some great (and perhaps not-so-great) bean recipes. This little article makes the 51st such article or recipe we've posted to the site. If you click on one of several links on these pages (including this one: http://www.suite101.com/articles.cfm/bea... you'll get a chronological list of the last 20 articles. Another click takes you to the next oldest 20, and so on. Now, I don't want to discourage you from thoughtfully browsing those lists (heaven forbid!), but if you're in a hurry and want to get directly to the good stuff, maybe I can help you a little here. Which articles have been the most popular? You can judge that several ways. Since in real life, I'm an accountant (and not a bean-site webmaster or a chef), you can bet that I've thought of all those ways and have prepared spreadsheets that carefully analyze this matter six ways from Sunday. Yes, indeed. The fruits of this labor are below. Most Popular by Number of Hits OverallThe first list is the Top Ten articles based on the total number of times that people have gone to read them. This gives an advantage to the older articles, since they've been around longer and have had more time to accumulate page views.
Most Popular by Average Hits per MonthFor this one, I calculated the average number of page views per month. This, at least at first, favors the most recent articles, since they are listed at the top of the article list on the Bean Lovers home page. I did not count brand new articles on this one; they have to have been steady hit-getters for several months to qualify. (Yes, it's subjective. That's my privilege; I'm in charge here.) You will note that several of these articles appear on both lists. That's because they're the most popular and have been around the longest. Ones that are only on this list are newer, but are still quite popular. Ones on the first list but not the second owe their high hit count to longevity. (So shut up and give us the list, I hear you saying. OK.) Go To Page: 1 2
