Now for the wilder side of hot springs! In the Rocky Mountain, Kootenay Boundary area of British Columbia are a number of outdoors, relatively unspoilt, hot springs. Ram Creek and Lussier Hotsprings can be accessed by hiking trails. The Cranbrook Forest District have maps of the region but please take a look also the Great Outdoor Recreation Pages
website for accurate details of how to get to these beautifully situated hot springs. Lussier Hot Springs is in Whiteswan Provincial Park located between Cranbrook and Kootenay National Park.
When using the hot springs, particularly the wilderness types, there are some do's and don'ts and a knowledge of hot spring ettiquette can come in useful. So before you pack up your bathing suit (or not!) and your hiking shoes have a look at this page!
