Golden also has a number of events that take place each year including the Golden Wildlife Festival of Birds and Bears, the Mt 7 “Psychosis” Downhill Bike Race, the Golden Rodeo, Hangliding events and more. Events calendars are available on many of the Golden links with this article. The year 2001 was the year of the Grizzly Bear and 2002 is the year of the Mountains so keep an eye on the calendars for related happenings for next year!

Before I end this article, I have to ask this question. Planning a wedding any time soon? The reason I asked is because of an idea I found during my research on Golden that may never have crossed your mind! Have you ever thought of flying to the top of a mountain to say your wedding vows? Well, in Golden that’s possible! Take a ski plane and say your vows on a 9000ft glacier or, take a floatplane to a mountain lake and have a lakeshore wedding.
