911 Tuesday Sept. 11th, 2001
With that stated, the question still nags me as to what is the correct, moral and spiritual response to such acts as were committed on that Fateful Tuesday morning? Baha'u'llah wrote, "O rulers of the earth! Be reconciled among yourselves, that ye may need no more armaments save in a measure to safeguard your territories and dominions. Beware lest ye disregard the counsel of the All-Knowing, the Faithful. "Be united, O kings of the earth, for thereby will the tempest of discord be stilled amongst you, and your peoples find rest, if ye be of them that comprehend. Should any one among you take up arms against another, rise ye all against him, for this is naught but manifest justice." It is my prayer that the governments of the various countries of the world would rise up against those that have committed these acts of terrorism. But, alas, I do not believe that this will happen. Justice has been lacking for quite some time. I can only hope and pray that God will console those who have suffered loss because of these actions, done by a few to the many; exact justice on the ones that committed these acts and upon those that aided them; and that he opens the minds of well meaning people to not take actions against an entire ethnic and/or religious group in retaliation for the acts of a few.
