Stars and Other Heavenly Signs
Nimrod had a vision, to which he summoned his diviners to interpret it and they informed him of a rising star in the heavens. This coincided with the appearance of one who announced the coming of Abraham. Pharaoh was told by his diviners that "A star hath risen in the heaven, and lo! it foreshadoweth the conception of a Child Who holdeth your fate and the fate of your people in His hand." This was the first announcement of the coming of Moses. The coming of Jesus was likewise heralded by a star in the heavens, as was the advent of Muhammad forshadowed by visible heavenly signs. Well, then, what, if any, were the heavenly signs that relate to the coming of the Bab and Baha'u'llah (the herald and found of the Baha'i Faith)? For this, I would like to go to a source outside the Baha'i Faith. This source is "Astrological Timing - The Transition to the New Age" by Dane Rudhyar (published in 1969). Mr. Rudhyar writes in reference to the cycle of Uranus, "Under these Uranian assaults...This trend developed into Rosmanticism and led to humanitarianism, French religious socialism, the Communist Manifesto, and the start of the first attempt at organizing on the basis of a "Divine Manifestation", a truly global "World Order" - the Baha'i Movement." Referring to the cycle of Neptune (1861 - 2026) he notes that "In 1864 Baha'u'llah publicly announced that he was the expected Divine Manifestation for the New Age - with Saturn in Libra squaring Neptune; and the Baha'i Movement began to grow and to promote an ideal, but very precise plan for a social and religious World-Order, the first religious movement ever to do so." There are many more references to the signs in the heavens and the foundation of the Baha'i Faith in this book. For those interested, I suggest visiting http://www.khaldea.com/rudhyar/at/at_tcp... site has the introduction available and, on a pay to view system, one can read the entire book. Suggested a donation is $ 7.00 but one can donate as little as $ 1.00 or as much as $ 50.00. I would like to close with a quote from Abdu'l-Baha, Baha'u'llah's son, on the station of the believer. It is my belief that this refers not only to Baha'is, but to all who follow God, "Consider how infinite is the bounty of God that a
