Nest Boxes
Now that is me. I understand the other side of this issue and respect those who hold to it. And I recognize that, if I were attempting to maintain a line of eastern bluebird nestboxes to increase the numbers of that species I might have a different opinion. The fact is that my backyard every year provides shelter, food, water and nest sites and produces many young birds like this young robin. I strive to be at peace with my habitat. You must come to terms with yours. Tell us your opinion in the poll that accompanies this article. And feel free to start a discussion. Note: The photographs used in this article were taken in the author's garden. The photograph of the young robin is by Susan Morrison.
