Hot Birds

One fun thing to do to attract more birds to your water source is to add the sound of dripping water. Birds love the sound of water dripping. You can buy an expensive water fountain to decorate your sculpted bird bath, or you could do something simple like suspending a garden hose over the water using a slow drip, or even suspending a bucket with a hole over it. Some birds love garden misters, too, if you have one to gently water your flowers. I have seen hummingbirds fly through the mist of water coming from my hose while I am watering the roses.

When you are outside sweating in the sun, don't forget your birds are hot and thirsty too! Provide them with a reliable source of clean, fresh water, and they will come back to thank you!
