Bluebirds in, Chickadees out!

The house is in the sun, which provides the birds with warmth in the spring and for roosting in the winter. My street is quiet, with little or no road noise. In addition, I have an abundance of natural plants for the birds to enjoy. The only predator is the neighborhood cat, who wears a bell.

Now I am amused watching the busy bluebirds building their nest in the birdhouse. If they construct it as they did last year, they will use Virginia pine needles to create a soft bed for their babies. Later this spring I hope to see the family take a bath in the birdbath in back. Try to post a bluebird house yourself and welcome in these beautiful birds.
