Dealing With Arguing Children


Fighting over last cookie or other food item: Find out if there is anything else one of them wants instead. If not, then leave the cookie there. Or split it in half. Don't let food arguments go on too long, because they usually end up in one kid grabbing the food and quickly stuffing into his or her mouth and then that is a whole other problem.

Most of these examples can be applied to other arguments as well. Use your judgement, but never yell at the children. Use punishment as a last resort.
