Prophecies and Visions in Babylon 5 Part 2

Continuing with the prophecies and visions found in Babylon 5, season 2 is really a year of discovery and revelation, with the reappearance of an ancient race known as the Shadows, and revelation about Captain Sheridan's fate, and also the whereabouts of his wife. The prophecies and visions seen in season 1 only gives us a glimpse of what is to come in a possible future, and now season 2 sets the paths that will lead to most of these prophecies and visions. Now we will look at some of these prophecies first hand.

The first one is about 'Valen's prophecy : War is Coming' seen in "Points of Departure". Hedronn says "She's done it, hasn't she? she's in there. We told her to wait. The prophecy will attend to itself, we told her. Now we are committed to the path". Lennier is then ordered to tell the humans about part of the prophecy. Sinclair was captured and taken aboard the grey council's ship they scanned his soul, and learned something terrible, Sinclair had a Minbari soul, and they discovered that Minbari souls were being born in Human bodies. The grey council knew that the information would unravel their entire society, so they told no one about this - and that is why they would not tell their generals the reason for their surrender at the battle of the line. Lennier told Sheridan and Ivanova this because changes were coming - Sinclair was the first, there will be others. But what Lennier did not tell them was the rest of the prophecy - about the great enemy that is returning, about the 2 sides of their spirit must unite against the darkness.

Then, there was Elric's warning to Londo as seen in "The Geometry of Shadows". "You are touched by darkness Ambassador. I see it as a blemish that will grow with time. I could warn you of course, but you would not listen. I could kill you, but someone would take your place. So, I do the only thing I can. I go." "As I look at you Ambassador Mollari, I see a great hand reaching out of the stars. The hand is your hand. And I hear sounds - the sounds of billions of people calling your name". Londo asks, "My followers?". "Your victims", Elric replies instead.

In keeping with Londo, there is another vision deeply associated with him - Londo is asleep, he is dreaming - he sees himself shielding his eyes from the sun as a group of shadow vessels fly overhead, then cuts to G'kar and him strangling each other in the Centauri throne room.
