The Babylon Project - Crusade© David Ye
Once you think it is all over and you turn off the TV, back they come and shove another brand
new series based on the one before it. Well, guess what? There is another new series based
on the Babylon 5 universe called "The Babylon Project - Crusade." This is a completely new
story with new characters different from the original B5 arc, although some of the original cast from B5 will do either cameo roles or be a recurring character.
The Crusade story picks up around about two years after the Babylon 5 arc, and Earth is quiet - too quiet. The allies of the Shadows remain homeless and masterless and toward that end they target Earth with a bio-genetically engineered virus that was designed by the now departed Shadows after their attempt at conquering Earth failed. This virus has an incubation period of five years in which it adapts to its host species, after which it turns lethal and will have the ability to wipe out all humanity. An Alliance ship named the Excalibur - a product of human and Minbari technology - has a mission to explore the universe in an attempt to find a cure to the virus. The main cast of characters includes the nine Zathras brothers, a warrior caste Minbari, a technomage sent back to see if the coast is clear for them to return, a biogeneticist and a representative from Interplanatery Expeditions. JMS will be writing about half the episodes and the rest of the episodes will be contracted out to freelance writers. More information can be found at The Unofficial Crusade Home Page. Go To Page: 1
