The Tragedy of Londo Mollari© David Ye
One of the more intriguing characters and probably one of the most popular is that
of Londo Mollari - Ambassador to Babylon 5, and later Emperor played by Peter Jurasik.
He is ably assisted by his appointed attaché - Vir Coto, but his role remains small until he became associated to a man named Mr. Morden. After that the course of his life changed dramatically in a new a terrifying direction. With the help of Mr. Morden and his associates Londo brought the Centauri Republic from a state of a decaying empire back to being a major power in the galaxy - with the destruction of the Narn Regime. This has helped Londo become noticed within the Centauri Royal court and brought him into contact with powerful people. His name now spoken with great admiration and soon great fear. Soon this power he has acquired grew so great that even he could not control it and it now dominated his destiny. His personality changed to a more darker and sinister person even his own aid(Who was the closest person to him after Adira died) didn't know him anymore. He grew weary of his own power and influence and became withdrawn and alone - turning away from friends who cared about him, until he was alone with the burden of his guilt of so many of his victims. Now with people who serve under him performing terrible deeds in his name he sought to end his relationship with Mr. Morden - but at what cost. It drove him to murder his own emperor Cartagia and flattened several islands in his homeworld, but the ultimate cost would be his and his peoples' fate. Even after he had killed Mr. Morden, his allies came looking for revenge and deceived the other worlds into flattening Centauri Prime. Londo (who is now emperor) and his people were taking into slavery and now made to pay the price of Londo's decisions. He now sits there on his puppet throne alone, weary of his life and awaits his final outcome. It is not doubt that there is an irony to his fate, Go To Page: 1 2
