Taken with a grain of salt (this is the frustrated opinion of an anal retentive grammar nut) these guidelines should help to eliminate much confusion. In 2001, the name Hailey ranked 34 on the Social Security Administration’s list. However, if all spellings are accounted for, the name jumps in popularity to number 4. Just for my own personal convenience, I’d like a correct spelling to exist. ;)

Kristen,Excellent advice. Simple is best. I named my daughter, Michelle and she always seems to get the spelling, Michele. I think it looks more balanced with two L's. However, some people don't. ...
