BEHIND THE SCENES--TRANSPORTING THE RACE OF A THOUSAND YEARS


Once the race is over, breakdown will take place and some teams will send their equipment back via freighter, following the same routine as before of packing the containers. Others will fly home their essential new equipment so they can participate in the testing of 2001 race cars very early in the year.

Adelaide will be host to approximately 30 ALMS teams, most of whom are based in the United States. The majority has chosen to the slow method of sea transportation.
