WGGT GETS SET FOR ROUND FOUR IN TEXAS

Texas, made her first appearance of 2000 after competing in the series' inaugural season.

Five different drivers posted victories in the six-race set of 1999. Race winners were Divina Galica the only driver to win twice, Cindy Lux, Allison Duncan, Audrey Zavodsky and Sara Senske. So far in 2000, Lux, Bayer, and Galica have earned firsts.

" These cars really so hard to pass. They're so equal," said Endress. "When the opportunity presents itself you have to go for it. You gotta do a little off track excursion. I'm very happy with what I've learned this weekend. This track is a really technical track. It's a high speed chess game."

Terri Hundertmark, eighth in WGGT point count, regrets the length of time between events. She said, of Sears Point, "I was rusty at the start but it is good to be back in the car after three months. I've been doing a lot of work for Michelin but haven't been in a racecar since the Charlotte race, said Hundertmark. "I had some good races out there today, some exciting moments. I just wish we could go straight to Texas from here to keep this rust off."

The next opportunity for the WGGT Series to compete is round four at the new road course at Texas Motor Speedway Sept. 2, as part of the American LeMans event.
