The Convict Colony-About to Starve-1
These ships were called the 'Second Fleet'.
With this Second Fleet came a detachment of the New South Wales Corp, a unit raised in England, to take up garrison duties in the colony. One of its officers was Lieutenant John Macarthur, who was to be a leading figure in Australian history in the next thirty years.
