As the garden centres and the experts never stop telling us, mulch, mulch, and more mulch is the way to get your garden to survive. They also say that the use of sheep manure is a good way to actually keep the plants growing. The manure improves the soil, the worms will increase a lot and the plants stay moist and cool and guess what? You will save on the water bills.
Lastly, why not buy plants for Christmas presents plants such as conifers will give the appearance as well as the ambience of Christmas.
This is the last of my pieces before Christmas, I believe the next one is due out on December 27, 1999, just before the end of the 20th Century. So I will take the opportunity to wish all readers a very happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Although, I didn't need to say the latter, I'll get another chance on December 27.
