We often come to the crossroads of life and realise that it is time to redirect our energies to be the best we can be. That’s how it is with this web site. For a couple of years I’ve maintained this site to share information with anyone interested in home based learning in Australia. I’ve enjoyed gathering links, discovering new online resources and watching the online presence of home education grow. I love to write, and have tried to share with you articles which show something of home based learning that you may not have considered previously.
Now, I feel it’s time to redirect my energies into projects I feel deserve more of my support. One is the print magazine ‘Stepping Stones’, edited by a dear friend Grace Chapman. Secondly, there is a homeschooling review happening in Queensland. I find that it is taking much of my concentration to find out what I can about the review and prepare a submission before the looming cut off date. Add to these two passions the five very important people who show me reason to be an advocate for the homeschooling cause each and every day, my children, and life is very busy indeed. To help me stay positive about home education, and be helpful to others, I feel that I need to spend as much time as possible with my children, who are the foundation for this passion of mine. Without them, there is no cause. Thanks to all of my subscribers and visitors to this site. Without your numbers on the Statistics pages, I’d have given up long ago. I urge you all to continue to visit other Australian homeschooling sites – Beverley’s page is as good as ever, Stepping Stones’ site will keep you updated on the latest highlights of Australian homeschooling, the HEA site is growing strong, with portals for groups, articles and more. Best of luck to all pursuing the alternative of home based learning for their families. Love and Light, Bel Go To Page: 1
