We attack religion because religion is not true -- because religion is an obstacle (or a set of obstacles) in the way of progress -- because religion foments strife and prejudice -- because religion is the breeding ground of intolerance -- because, in short, religion is essentially hostile to mankind. Religion glorifies the dogma of a despotic, mythical God. Atheism ennobles the interests of free and progressive Man. Religion is superstition. Atheism is sanity. Religion is medieval. Atheism is modern.
