Terms Used in Asperger's Syndrome

When I first started researching Asperger's Syndrome, I came across so many words that I couldn't understand and ended up doing searches on those words just so I could comprehend the article I was reading at the time. Even the diagnostic criteria was difficult to wade through and interpret in plain english. The following list is a collection of words that are commonly used to describe other conditions found in Asperger's children or treatment programs and some links to web sites to help you in your search for information.

Lovaas Therapy - Behaviour modification treatment plan. http://www.lovaas.com/

NLD or Non Verbal Learning Disorder - This is a neurological syndrome very similar to Asperger's Syndrome. In fact, I used to get the two of them mixed up because they have a lot of similar characteristics. http://www.nldline.com/
