Oriental Oven Baked Chicken Wings


The most popular recipes in this collection based on the number of hits received are the chicken wings specials.The interest may be due to chicken wings are versatile -they can be eaten as a snack, as an appetizer or made more formal to be served in a buffet setting by the way it is presented. It appeals to all ages and is an economical dish. And it does have great taste.

The ingredients in the marinade determine how the wings will taste. But even a salt and pepper rub with some lime juice works wonders. The way it is cooked to will influence how crisp or tender the wings will turn out.

For this recipe, we will be cooking a sweet wings dish that is baked in the oven. Hope you will like this as much as the others.

Oriental Oven Baked Honey Wings

500 g. chicken wings

1-2 T. soy sauce (dependent on how salty the soy sauce is)

1 T. lemon juice

1 T. dry sherry

1 T. sesame seeds

1 tsp. grated fresh ginger

2 T. honey

1/4 tsp. sesame oil

Tuck wings under main part of wings and place them in a large bowl.

Combine sauce, juice, sherry,seeds,ginger, honey and oil in a cup.Pour over wings.

Coat wings evenly with marinade and keep refrigerated for at least an hour.

Place wings on rack over baking dish. Bake in moderate oven for about 30 minutes or till tender.

During this time, brush with remaining marinade and turn every ten minutes.

Serves 2.

This is a good recipe to use for grilling but make sure that the flame is not too hot as the honey will burn easily.

The wings in this recipe are not disjointed but served as one.
