Meat Dishes of the Quick ,Tasty and Fruity Flavored Kind (I)


A pork chop dish with an asian background. Fruity and yet different from the usual fruity western kind.

Hong Kong Pork Chops

1 medium onion,diced

6 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced

1 can (5 ounces) water chestnuts, drained and sliced

1/2 green pepper, seeded and halved and cut into cubes

2 T. oil

6 pork chops

1/4 cup orange juice

2 T. lemon juice or can use lime

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, mashed

1/2 tsp. ground ginger

1 lemon sliced..can also use two limes and use them as lime strips


Heat oil and and brown chops on both sides.Set aside.

Stir fry all vegetables and ingredients except for lemon slices in wok or pan. Simmer on high for a few minutes and add pork chops back into pan.

Simmer covered till chops and vegetables are tender.

Remove chops and vegetables from pan and garnish with lemon slices.

Serves 6.
