The 2001 ARCA ReMax season began at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 11, but then entered a two month lull, as the focus of motor sports moved to NASCAR. Here's the complete 2001 ARCA schedule. I'll be keeping you posted as the weekly racing begins and bring you the latest news from the world of ARCA.

ASA Rookie of the Year Joey Clanton took the lead about halfway through the race and cruised to a 0.621 second victory over second place finishere Scott Hansen. The race, which was not even on the original ASA schedule, saw 16 caution flags, but few cars put out of action, was dominated by Clanton, who clearly was the cream of the crop at the St. Augustine Speedway. Next on the schedule is today's Tires.com 300 from Irwindale, Calif. The track which opened in 1999 has the honor of hosting the first ever West Coast ASA event in history. Its state of the art, two track facility has hosted other races before, but never a race as important as one sponsored by the American Speed Association. From the publicity given the track, it appears that it is ideal for ASA and its three racing grooves will make for some great action for the Southern California fans of ASA. The race will be carried live on TNN Motorsports, so check your local listings for the start time for this evening's event. Here's the remainder of the ASA 2001 schedule. All ASA Events will be televised on The National Network (TNN) Go To Page: 1 2
