The Art of Fine Dining Museum-Style

The acclaimed restaurant Opus 251 is dining in fair weather in the center's lovely courtyard. Extravagant design in food sculpting combined with delicacies like salmon gravlax and scallop ceviche, spiced sweet potato soup, and pan-roasted partridge, are only a few of the unique menu concoctions.

Museum of Contemporary Art
An innovative interpreter of all art media since 1940, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, California displays works by emerging and established artists including single works, retrospectives and collections. In existence since 1982, MOCA wins top honors for amassing the most impressive collection of contemporary art in the shortest period of time.

The museum's renowned Café Patinette offers a varied menu that includes chilled gazpacho with sauteed bay shrimp and diced avocado; roasted turkey with Chinese vegetables, seared tofu and sweet soy sesame dressing; and salmon burger. Top your meal off with your choice of desserts that include cherry rhubarb clafouti or the lemon tart.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
The largest museum in New England, and the fifth largest in the United States, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston opened its doors in 1876.

In the West Wing, museum visitors will find the Courtyard Café at the Calderwood Courtyard and a delightful assortment of entrees, soups, sandwiches, salads, and beverages. Evoking the style of a Parisian sidewalk bistro the Galleria Café next to the museum bookstore serves up light fare including fruit plates, desserts, espresso, wine, soups, pate sampler and cheese. The Fine Arts Restaurant serves American contemporary cuisine of fish, steaks, veal, chicken, and pasta.

Open for lunch Monday through Saturday, the Fraser Garden Court Terrace offers made-to-order focaccia sandwiches, Italian burgers, omelets, soups, and salads. The wall of glass windows looks out on a spectacular panorama view of courtyard fountains, statuary, flowers and trees. With four restaurants to choose from, patrons of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston will enjoy trying out each eating environment.
