In the 1950's Science Fiction had it's glory days, thousands of "B" movies and comic books pour out. Movies such as "The Blob" and "Night of the Living Dead" entertain the mass believers that life existed in outerspace. Most of this audience in the 50's were white males age 30 and under. The Sci-Fi craze slowly fizzle out and did not gain fame until the late 1970's with movies such as "Star Wars" and "Close Encounters of a Third Kind".
