Well, another year has come and gone. Time sure goes fast it
vanishes before we know what happens. So what did you accomplish
this year?,anything?,as for myself I did very little. I had plan
to do alot, actually I was going to do some writing and try to get it publish online or offline. I never even manage to write
anything. I just sat still while time march on. So here I am,
another year drifted and I am still planning on doing that or
this. Now,I have 2002 to do what I wanted to do back in 1999.
Can I really accomplish what I set out to do?,maybe this year.
Okay,I want to get a poem, short story,or whatever done in the
next 12 months. I also want to lose some weigh, about twenty
pounds would be nice. Two items I need to work on this year?.
How about you?. Good Luck in whatever you choose to do.
Now,let us continue with Genres. In case you did not know I have been doing genres the past three months. This month I will discuss Action/Adventure. This genre keeps our pulse racing and heart pounding. Recent Action/Adventure movies like Tomb Raider are popular with mainly a young audience. Thrill seekers who thrive on action. Action/Adventure is what the name implies. Action such as running, jumping, fighting etc.,the person, animal or thing is performing some sort of movement. A painting of a cowboy roping a calf or a movie of a soldier seeking out the enemy. Adventure is the unexpected, what is around the corner. An encounter with a gaint serpent or hideous creatures from beneath the ground. You never know what you may meet. This is action/adventure. If this sounds like a topic you would like to do then try this exercise to get you started. A man is walking in the woods, suddenly a giant hawk swoops down upon him. Draw this giant hawk swooping down upon the man. What is the man's expression showing, what does the hawk look like,a huge monster with wings?. Writers, what does the hawk do?,does it drop a fancy jewel down to the man. Let the adventure begin!!!. Good Luck. Have a great New Year full of warmth, good health, and joy. Go To Page: 1
