Cultural InfluenceSo I sketched immediately down on paper a Aztec style bird and in a box I drew next to and attached to the back of the bird was an invitation to a ball game with the moniker "Be the Ball..." at the bottom. I had plans to create an Aztec inspired font and type it in their straight making the whole concoction a simple linework drawing that I could then take into a paint program and make to appear as a stone carving. My idea never got further than that original sketch. Though my attempt as humor never made it further than me, and my wife simply looked at me puzzlingly as I showed it to her, I do not want to post to Suite101 empty handed. (Insert Pause here, as I go in search of old files.) Ok, I can't find anything good from where I am sitting, except for an example of a Font that was inspired by simple hieroglyphs. An example of this font is action can be found here, http://members.tripod.com/mobius_strip/i... . The font is called Zhoutec.ttf I will make it available for anyone who requests it, but it is displayed as a kind of texture in the background of this web page and it is the yellow symbols above the readable text on this webpage. I developed this font a great deal so that there are many generations of it, which is nearly impossible to show in a single font and difficult to type is every other letter is in a different font file and every other letter after that is capitalized, and well you get the picture. So enjoy perusing this site for curiosities sake and I hope you enjoy the font face.
